Translation · 5 editionsThese translations render verse 29:60 — the whole verse this word appears in — not this word alone. How many a creature there is that does not carry its provision? God provides for them, and for you. He is the Hearer, the KnowledgeableAnd how many an animal there is that beareth not its own provision! Allah provideth for it and for you. He is the Hearer, the KnowerHow many animals are there which provide not their own food! God feedeth them and you. He Heareth, Knoweth all thingsHow many a beast cannot carry its own provision! God provides for it and for you; He both hears and knowsand how many from moving creature not he carries her provision Allah he provides and you and He the all-hearing the KnowingGenerated from a table of word-by-word decisions, not written as prose. Arabic word order is preserved, so it reads stiffly and is not a substitute for a translation written by a person. Every verse is rendered, but the whole remains under review: words marked as judgement rest on weaker evidence than the rest and are flagged in place. No tafsir, hadith or existing translation was consulted.
