Say, “Have you considered? Had God made the night perpetual over you until the Day of Resurrection, which god other than God will bring you illumination? Will ye not then hearSAY: What think ye? If God should enshroud you with a long night until the day of resurrection, what god beside God would bring you light? Will ye not then hearkenHave ye considered, if God were to make for you the night endless until the resurrection day, who is the god, but God, to bring you light? can ye not then hearsay you saw if he made Allah upon you the night unceasing to Day of the standing who god other than Allah he comes to you by a radiance do they not you hearGenerated from a table of word-by-word decisions, not written as prose. Arabic word order is preserved, so it reads stiffly and is not a substitute for a translation written by a person. Every verse is rendered, but the whole remains under review: words marked as judgement rest on weaker evidence than the rest and are flagged in place. No tafsir, hadith or existing translation was consulted.
