Translation · 5 editionsThese translations render verse 8:63 — the whole verse this word appears in — not this word alone. And He united their hearts. Had you spent everything on earth, you would not have united their hearts, but God united them together. He is Mighty and WiseAnd (as for the believers) hath attuned their hearts. If thou hadst spent all that is in the earth thou couldst not have attuned their hearts, but Allah hath attuned them. Lo! He is Mighty, Wiseand hath made their hearts one. Hadst thou spent all the riches of the earth, thou couldst not have united their hearts; but God hath united them, for He is Mighty, Wiseand reconciles their hearts! Didst thou expend all that is in the earth thou couldst not reconcile their hearts, but God reconciled them, verily, He is mighty and wiseand he joined together between their hearts if you spent what in the earth all together what you joined together between their hearts but indeed Allah he joined together their between indeed he mighty wiseGenerated from a table of word-by-word decisions, not written as prose. Arabic word order is preserved, so it reads stiffly and is not a substitute for a translation written by a person. Every verse is rendered, but the whole remains under review: words marked as judgement rest on weaker evidence than the rest and are flagged in place. No tafsir, hadith or existing translation was consulted.
