Quranic text · Tanzil Uthmani 1.1How translators rendered it
Translation · 5 editionsThese translations render verse 60:7 — the whole verse this word appears in — not this word alone. The correspondence is verse-level: no word-level alignment of translations exists for these editions, so we do not claim which English word renders this Arabic word. Compare the editions →
Perhaps God will plant affection between you and those of them you consider enemies. God is Capable. God is Forgiving and MercifulIt may be that Allah will ordain love between you and those of them with whom ye are at enmity. Allah is Mighty, and Allah is Forgiving, MercifulGod will, perhaps, establish good will between yourselves and those of them whom ye take to be your enemies: God is Powerful: and God is Gracious, MercifulMayhap that God will place love between you and between those of them ye are hostile towards: for God is powerful, and God is forgiving, compassionateperhaps Allah that he makes your between and between those whom you were at enmity with from them affection Allah capable and Allah forgiving MercifulGenerated from a table of word-by-word decisions, not written as prose. Arabic word order is preserved, so it reads stiffly and is not a substitute for a translation written by a person. Every verse is rendered, but the whole remains under review: words marked as judgement rest on weaker evidence than the rest and are flagged in place. No tafsir, hadith or existing translation was consulted.
