Quranic text · Tanzil Uthmani 1.1How translators rendered it
Translation · 5 editionsThese translations render verse 43:11 — the whole verse this word appears in — not this word alone. The correspondence is verse-level: no word-level alignment of translations exists for these editions, so we do not claim which English word renders this Arabic word. Compare the editions →
He who sends down water from the sky in due proportion; and so We revive thereby a dead land. Thus you will be brought outAnd Who sendeth down water from the sky in (due) measure, and We revive a dead land therewith. Even so will ye be brought forthAnd who sendeth down out of Heaven the rain in due degree, by which we quicken a dead land; thus shall ye be brought forth from the graveand who sent down from the heaven water in due measure; and we raised up thereby a dead country; thus shall ye too be brought forthand the one who he sent down in stages from the sky water by measure We brought back to life in it a land dead thus are brought outGenerated from a table of word-by-word decisions, not written as prose. Arabic word order is preserved, so it reads stiffly and is not a substitute for a translation written by a person. Every verse is rendered, but the whole remains under review: words marked as judgement rest on weaker evidence than the rest and are flagged in place. No tafsir, hadith or existing translation was consulted.
