Translation · 5 editionsThese translations render verse 11:112 — the whole verse this word appears in — not this word alone. The correspondence is verse-level: no word-level alignment of translations exists for these editions, so we do not claim which English word renders this Arabic word. Compare the editions →
So be upright, as you are commanded, along with those who repented with you, and do not transgress. He is Seeing of everything you doSo tread thou the straight path as thou art commanded, and those who turn (unto Allah) with thee, and transgress not. Lo! He is Seer of what ye doGo straight on then as thou hast been commanded, and he also who hath turned to God with thee, and let him transgress no more. He beholdeth what ye doDo thou then be upright, as thou art bidden, and whosoever turns repentantly with thee; and transgress ye not:- verily, He on what ye do doth lookstand firm as was commanded and whoever he turned back together with you and not you exceed all bounds indeed he with what you do all-seeingGenerated from a table of word-by-word decisions, not written as prose. Arabic word order is preserved, so it reads stiffly and is not a substitute for a translation written by a person. Every verse is rendered, but the whole remains under review: words marked as judgement rest on weaker evidence than the rest and are flagged in place. No tafsir, hadith or existing translation was consulted.
