وَقَالَٱلَّذِينَلَايَرْجُونَلِقَآءَنَالَوْلَآأُنزِلَعَلَيْنَاٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُأَوْنَرَىٰرَبَّنَالَقَدِٱسْتَكْبَرُوا۟فِىٓأَنفُسِهِمْوَعَتَوْعُتُوًّاكَبِيرًا

And those who look not for a meeting with Us say: Why are angels not sent down unto us and (Why) do we not see our Lord! Assuredly they think too highly of themselves and are scornful with great prideSimilar verses
